Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals

Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) are synthetic or natural chemicals that can interfere with the body’s endocrine system, which controls the production, release, and regulation of hormones. These chemicals can either mimic the action of hormones (acting as hormone mimics), block the effects of natural hormones, or alter the normal functioning of the endocrine system in other ways.
