Your Monthly Cycle

Under the normal, healthy circumstances of a woman’s monthly cycle, estrogens should be the dominant hormones for the first two weeks and is balanced by natural progesterone, which should be the dominant hormone for the latter two weeks.

After a woman has entered menopause (age 50-51), whether it is due to age or surgery (hysterectomy), female hormone production drops to approximately 40% to 60% of the pre-menopausal levels.
